What makes a good question
Write it in the words you would have typed into a search box. The questions that work best here are the ones with a checkable answer: whether something needs a licence, what a regulator requires, what drives a price, what your rights are. Those we can source.
What we can’t answer
- Whether a specific quote you have received is fair. We hold no price data and would be guessing.
- Anything that depends on inspecting your property.
- Your specific legal position in a dispute. We can tell you which body handles it in your state.
- Which tradesperson to hire. No business is listed on this site and we don't generate leads.
What happens next
We can’t answer every question individually. What we do is use them to decide what gets written, and questions that come up repeatedly get a page, researched and sourced like everything else here.
If a question of yours becomes a page, it stays in your words in the heading, because that is usually how the next person searches for it. We won’t publish your name, your suburb or anything else that identifies you, and we won’t make one up either.
