Corrections

This is the one we most want to hear about. If something here is wrong, out of date, or a regulator has changed since we last checked, tell us and point at the page. Australian trade regulation moves. The Victorian regulator changed in 2025 and solar accreditation changed in 2024, and both caught out published advice everywhere. We would rather be corrected than confident.

Material corrections are made on the page, its review date is updated, and the change is recorded publicly on our corrections page, so you can see what changed and when.

Tradespeople

We intend to publish answers signed by licensed, consenting tradespeople with their licence verified against a state register. We are not there yet and we do not pretend otherwise. If you hold a current licence and would be interested, get in touch. Expect us to ask for your licence number and to check it before anything is published under your name.

What we can’t help with

We cannot advise on your specific job, quote or dispute, and we cannot recommend or arrange a tradesperson. There is no lead generation here and no business is listed on this site. For a dispute, your state’s consumer affairs or building regulator offers free conciliation and is the right first step.
